ADD and ADHD Treatment Programs (for children and adults)

“Last night my daughter took ten minutes to do math problems that two months ago took her three hours to do.“
- Father of a 10 year-old girl challenged with ADD

“I know something is working because I can tell my boy “No” and he doesn’t go ballistic.”
- Mother of a 12 year-old boy challenged with ADHD

Consider how much easier life would be if you (or your child) could concentrate better and weren't so easily distracted. Imagine starting and finishing projects without constantly breaking off to do other things. Think how much happier you, your spouse, or even your boss would be. All because you've learned to take more effective control of your brainwave patterns and in doing so have found it easier to control many aspects of your life.

  • ADD and ADHD Treatment (for children and adults)
Our program for ADD/ADHD is tailored to the needs of the individual (and family). Based upon information provided at the first interview, one or more of the following components will be suggested:

    1. A brief psychological test and interview so that we know that it is ADD or ADHD that we are dealing with. Many people come to us already confident that they know the problem they are dealing with. In these instances further evaluation is not necessary. However, many children and adults come who are unclear whether or not ADD/ADHD is the issue. In these instances we will recommend that we do interviews and limited psychological testing to fully understand what we are dealing with.

    2. Neurofeedback is often at the heart of our ADD/ADHD treatment program. It is the form of brainwave biofeedback that helps the brain change naturally without the use of medication. Done for about twenty-years, neurofeedback has helped many thousands of children and adults.

    3. Individual counseling is sometimes helpful for individuals with ADD/ADHD. Frequently ADD/ADHD adults and children learn false things about themselves. Sometimes they think they are less bright, or lazy, or that they are “different” in some negative way. Counseling can be helpful in correcting these false ideas.

    4. Short-term counseling for parents is sometimes helpful to ensure that families respond effectively to the family changes that occur as ADD/ADHD–related problems diminish.

  • Save time and money with our "At Home” training program
One of the benefits of some of our techniques is that you can do parts of them at home after a few introductory sessions at our office. This saves you time and money by cutting down on office visits and makes things more convenient for you by letting you do the training when it best fits your schedule.
  • What to expect on your first visit
Your first meeting in our offices lasts one hour. We’ll thoroughly discuss all issues related to your ADD/ADHD so that we can decide the most helpful approaches for our work together.
  • Scheduling an appointment
Our ADD/ADHD program has worked for many people for more than twenty years and it may well work for you or someone you love. To schedule your first appointment, or to discuss with Dr. Rothman whether his programs may be right for you, call (425) 454-4266, extension 1, or click here to send Dr. Rothman an e-mail message.
